I think the most beautiful moment of my life was on the last day of class when they bought me presents, letters and homemade food to thank me. These girls did not even have enough to feed their stomachs. They worked from morning to night, took care of their families and studied in their spare time.
They may have thought of me as inspiring, but it was them who had changed my entire perspective on the world.

What is your spirit animal and what is his or her name?.
My spirit animal is a pangolin. His name is Fred. He's like an armadillo but with much cooler scales. He walks on two legs and uses his two front paws to dig. Then he sticks out his long tongue to slurp up his prey.
What is your favorite course at Brandeis?
Introduction to Finance and Organic Chemistry
What is your favorite or dream destination for vacation?
I would love to visit Australia
What is your favorite movie?
Anything Christopher Nolan directs.
What is your favorite quote?
"When in doubt, make a fool of yourself. Because there's a microscopically thin line between being brilliantly creative and acting like the most gigantic idiot on earth. So what the hell? Leap. "
What are your side hobbies?
I like to fix broken computers and make them like new again.
I also enjoy snowboarding .
What is the most exciting thing you’ve ever tried or experienced?
I recently tried the virtual reality system called Oculus Rift. Once I put the apparatus on my eyes, I can look in any direction and I'd be looking the same direction in the virtual world. I went on a roller coaster and when it came down, I felt my fingers and feet dropping and my body reacting the way I do when I go on roller coasters. It was bizarre how real it felt. It was even scarier since the game could put me so high up in the air!

What is your spirit animal and what is his or her name?
A puppy sized elephant named Ralph, and we are the best of friends.
What is your favorite course?
Dumplings. But for my favorite courses at Brandeis, they are Biology or Organic Chemistry.
Where is your favorite or dream destination for vacation?
Not sure really, probably not Canada though (no offense to Canadians, I just spend too much time cold already)
What is your favorite book?
Favorite book, probably Sirens of Titan and Bluebeard by Kurt Vonnegut. I also like anything horror.
What is your favorite quote:
"Don't let it end like this. Tell them I said something"
What are your side hobbies?
Rock climbing and juggling (also a lot of video games)
What is your most embarrassing moment?
Back in high school I lived in a dorm, which made things pretty complicated sometimes, namely the very unnecessary set of alarms on the doors during the night. So, basically, there were several gender specific wings with rooms, common rooms, and bathrooms, etc. So, when night came, everyone would be hustled onto their wings and the wing doors would set an alarm for the night. Now, these alarms were less to keep people and more to just keep people in, because of reasons...(-_-)
Anyways, back then I was a pretty early riser too. Why not sleep like a decent human? Well, that was because I was pretty paranoid about missing classes (two unexcused absences resulted in academic probation, which was about as much fun as it sounded). Well, this one night I was sleeping pretty soundly when my alarm went off, and I sort of woke with a start. The clock read 1, and my room was empty. So I started to freak; basically I had missed 3 morning classes. So I quickly got dressed grabbed my backpack and sprinted out the wing, out the dorm, and straight through to the academic building.
Since I already told you this story would be a little embarrassing, let me just skip to the aftermath. So I set off enough alarms to warrant an emergency call from the dorms, which involved police and fire departments coming to see why someone was trying to force their way in or out. I may have also set off security alarms for the academic building (still not sure about that). I didn't realize what happened until an officer kind of found me, sat me down, and informed me I was being an overall nuisance. Yup, so I won't go into the rest of that night, because it was really awkward explaining to the rest of school what I was doing and why an officer had to escort me to my room.

I like to read in my spare time. It’s not really an interesting hobby, but it’s relaxing.
What do you fear the most?
I think the thing I fear the most is snakes.

What is your spirit animal and what is his or her name?
I would say my spirit animal is a dog. I guess her name would be Ataraxia. She would be calm and loyal. She would be there no matter what happen and accepting. The silence would be our friend, and we would be able to sit side by side in peace.
What is your favorite course?
This is a tough question. I have often found myself debating between math and science. In math, I love exploring the logic and seeing how we can manipulating numbers to find answers. I always viewed math as a way to play with numbers, and manipulating them to my bidding. For science, I love the idea of figuring out how life works, which brings me to the debate between chemistry and biology. In chemistry, we look at the particles and how they interact in various conditions. In biology, we look at how life works.
Where is your favorite or dream destination for vacation?
My dream destination for a vacation is a backpacking trip around Europe with my friends. I don't want to go on a tourist trip. I want to live the daily lives and breathe the culture of the various different countries found in the continent of Europe. After years of studying their histories, I want to see the how they evolved the way of life in modern times.
What is your favorite movie, TV show, book, or author?
My favorite movie is A Beautiful Mind. It will make you think. My favorite T.V. shows are Sherlock BBC and Hannibal. I am absolutely in love with mysteries! My favorite book at this time is The Fault in Our Stars. John Green is just an amazing writer and once I picked up his book I could not put it down until it was finished.
What is your favorite quote?
"On ne voit bien qu'avec le cœur. L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux."
The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, they are felt with the heart.”
-Antione de Saint-Exupery, The Little Prince
What are your side hobbies?
I love to bake. Baking is so much fun. Throughout my senior year, my friends and I would bake every day. We had a recipe book and one of our goals is to finish every recipe in the book, and this book has around 200 recipes. We'll get there, eventually.
What is the most inspiring moment of your life?
The most inspiring thing I've ever done was volunteer in Taiwan. I taught in underprivileged schools. which did not have as much resources in normal schools and I realized that education can make the biggest difference in a children's life. It's amazing what older students can do to help others. The influence we can have on the younger generation can change the way they see the world and it was inspiring to know that I could make a difference, even if I was only to get to know them for 2 weeks.
